My name is Steve Caudillo and I teach physical education at St. Anne School. I grew up in Sterling and attend St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sterling. I have taught at St. Anne School since August of 1995. I also work at Jack Mabley Developmental Center as a Recreational Therapist. I graduated from National Louis University with a BA in Recreation and a Master’s degree in Education. In 2013, I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Certificate of Graduate Study in Deaf Blind Rehabilitation, with emphasis in sign language. I am a certified Special Olympics coach.
P.E. is important to improve physical fitness, skill and motor development. It’s also a great opportunity to reduce stress and to learn fun games. It teaches self-discipline and can improve self-confidence and self-esteem.
In my spare time, I enjoy kayaking, pickle-ball, swimming, and watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears. I currently coach Special Olympics flag football and track and field.
